1963 Abstract Expressionist landscape painting titled “Crossroads” by Leon Saulter (1908-1986). Born in Poland, Saulter was a painter, sculptor, and writer, who settled in Los Angeles, California and remained there until he died in 1986. He was an active participant in the Works Progress Administration, Federal Art Project. This oil on board combines muted color tones to create a dramatic, stylized country landscape. In its original wooden frame and linen mat, in good vintage condition.
