Niels Moller Model 20 Rosewood Credenza for JL Moller, 1950s
Niels Moller Model 20 Rosewood Credenza for JL Moller, 1950s
1950s Danish Modern rosewood Model 20 credenza, designed by Niels Moller for JL Moller. Masterfully crafted by Niels O. Moller for J.L. Moller Mobelfabrik in the 1950s of Brazilian rosewood, this piece exemplifies the refined elegance and superior materials that define Scandinavian furniture. The credenza rests on solid, tapered rosewood legs, and its two sliding-door panels feature book-matched grain. There are multiple adjustable interior shelves, as well as four drawers, two of which are felt-lined. A raised lip frames the top surface, adding a subtle touch while highlighting the attention to detail characteristic of Moller’s designs. There is some damage to the edge banding on one end, and a small dent in the front end, both of which are shown in photos.
